The Lenfest Foundation has partnered with Foundations, Inc. of Moorestown, N.J. on an initiative to support after school programs in Franklin County, Pennsylvania and Cumberland County, New Jersey. Foundations, Inc., which serves children, families and communities through content-based after school enrichment programs, will develop, implement and direct the after school programs. The Lenfest Foundation will not have a day-to-day role in the operation of the program.

The Lenfest Foundation gave Foundations, Inc. a five-year grant for the initiative. In Franklin County, Foundations will establish full-service after school programs in four schools. The work will include staffing and developing an academic curriculum. In schools in Franklin and Cumberland counties where after school programs already exist, Foundations will assist with curriculum development, technical assistance and teacher and staff training.
